About ICT Psychological Services

Meet Dr. Maria Farha PsyD, LP

Dr. Maria Farha is a licensed psychologist with over 30 years of experience in mental health. She specializes in providing psychological assessments for adults and children over the age of 8, including ADHD evaluations, autism evaluations, and learning disability evaluations. Additionally, she conducts IQ testing, diagnostic clarification, dementia screenings, presurgical evaluations, and preemployment assessments for law enforcement.

Types of Assessments

ADHD

If you or a loved one struggles with focus, impulsivity, or staying organized, an ADHD evaluation can provide much-needed clarity and support. During our session, I’ll listen to your experiences, challenges, and history while utilizing trusted tools like questionnaires and cognitive tests to gain insight into how your mind works. For children, I’ll also connect with parents or teachers to ensure a comprehensive understanding. Together, we’ll determine if ADHD is present, celebrate your unique strengths, and explore options for diagnostic clarification. Additionally, if necessary, I can guide you through autism evaluations or learning disability evaluations. Ultimately, I will provide recommendations to help you move forward and receive the appropriate treatment to help you thrive.

Dementia Screening

If you or a loved one are noticing memory slips or changes in thinking, a dementia screening can provide diagnostic clarification with care and compassion. We’ll talk together—maybe with family, too—about what’s been happening, and I’ll use simple cognitive tests to check memory, attention, and other skills. Additionally, I’ll explore mood to ensure we’re seeing the whole picture. My goal is to provide clarity and guide you toward the next steps, whether it’s a diagnosis, an ADHD evaluation, an autism evaluation, or a plan for further testing such as learning disability evaluations.

Autism Evaluation

Wondering if you or your child might be on the autism spectrum? I’m here to guide you through an autism evaluation with kindness and understanding. We’ll discuss your experiences from childhood to now, using engaging tools and observations to explore social connections, behaviors, and sensitivities. For children, I’ll also check in with parents or teachers for their insights. If necessary, I will provide a diagnosis along with recommendations tailored to support your unique needs, whether it’s through therapy, accommodations, or strategies. Additionally, if there are concerns about ADHD or learning disabilities, I can conduct ADHD evaluations and learning disability evaluations to ensure comprehensive diagnostic clarification. I also offer dementia screening for older adults to assess cognitive health.

Learning Disability Evaluations

If school or work feels harder than it should, a learning disability evaluation can help you understand why. I’ll conduct tests to measure your cognitive strengths and academic skills, including reading, math, or problem-solving. Additionally, I’ll provide ADHD evaluations or autism evaluations if needed, and I’ll check in on how you’re feeling to ensure we cover everything. My aim is to pinpoint challenges, highlight what you excel at, and recommend tools—like extra time, accommodations, or tutoring. For those concerned about cognitive decline, I can also facilitate dementia screening to address any related issues, ensuring comprehensive diagnostic clarification.

General Diagnostic Clarification Evaluations

When life feels overwhelming and you’re not sure why, a diagnostic clarification evaluation can help make sense of things. In a warm, open conversation, we’ll explore your feelings, experiences, and history. I’ll use trusted questionnaires or tests to gently uncover what’s going on—whether it’s anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, Bipolar, ADHD evaluation, or autism evaluation, or something else. My goal is to give you clear answers, rule out what doesn’t fit, and create personalized recommendations to help you get the proper treatment, including options for dementia screening and learning disability evaluations.

Pre-Employment for Law Enforcement & Armed Guards

Psychological preemployment evaluations for law enforcement focus on traits like emotional resilience, ethical decision-making, and stress management to confirm suitability for policing or armed guards. Additionally, these evaluations can also encompass ADHD evaluations, autism evaluations, and even dementia screenings as part of a comprehensive diagnostic clarification process, ensuring that all potential learning disabilities are assessed.
